What are you doing tonight? Nothing? Run down to Salazar OTR for Tapas Tuesday. Every Tuesday, Salazar features a brand-new menu of tapas — everything from gazpacho blanco (made with almonds and grapes) to Spanish-style charcuterie and everything in between. It’s always delicious, always different, and always reasonably priced — including cocktail specials! Tapas run $4-6 and cocktail specials are $5: my favorite thing to do is order a round of tapas and a side of Sixteen Bricks bread with marrow butter to make a meal with The Better Half or a friend.
Last week, with a bit of free time before I Love Lucy at the Aronoff, I tried the steak carpaccio (pictured above) and a cocktail that’s a play on a pina colada — rum, coconut, lime and pineapple foam. So light and delicious — I wish they’d add it to the regular menu!
Head down with an open mind and try something new and delicious at one of the best restaurants in the city.
