Alfio’s Buon Cibo, a restaurant featuring Italian-Argentine cuisine, will open in the former poco a poco location in Hyde Park. Alfio Gulisano, head chef of Bella Luna who grew up the grandchild of Italian immigrants in an Italian neighborhood in Buenos Aires, will head up the new venture along with Scott Lambert. Argentine food is very beef-heavy (Argentina is a major cattle producer) and has Mediterranean influences, so a fusion of Italian and Argentine cuisine is a natural match. I’ll be looking forward to trying something a bit different for Cincinnati, particularly in such a great space (well, if it’s properly sound insulated…).
They are expecting a November opening.
