Giveaway + Discount: Fully Committed, March 25-April 2

Disclosure: I’m not only on the board of Falcon Theater, I’m their director of social media and publicity.  I haven’t talked as much about the theater here as of late, but this one’s a perfect match to you, my readers. Swear.

So, we don’t really have the same kinds of restaurants in Cincinnati as there are in Manhattan, where people will bribe, cajole, and threaten to get a reservation at Momofuku Ko or some other hot restaurant.  Instead, the hot places around here don’t take reservations and we just wait in line and complain (Terry’s Turf Club, I’m looking at you).

Fully Committed is a one-man show about a wannabe actor who’s a reservationist at a high end, in-demand restaurant in Manhattan.  Donnie McGovern, aforementioned actor, plays all of the roles, ranging from Sam to the crazy chef, insane customers, his best friend, and his dad.  It’s 90-minutes of a frenetic good time with a sneak peek into the restaurant world.

So, if you’d like to see this show, you can pick one (0r all) of these things to increase your chances:

1. Comment here for an entry and tell me your favorite restaurant in Cincinnati.

2. Tweet this contest (referencing @falcontheatre).

3. Post about this contest on Facebook (fan Falcon Theater on Facebook to do so)

4. Check out the Yelp! contest too (these tickets are only good for Thursday’s preview).

If you win tickets on wine me, dine me, I’ll contact you and you can pick which day is best for you.  We’ll draw for the tickets at noon on Friday.

If you don’t feel like entering the contest, mention WINE ME DINE ME at the box office and you’ll get $2 off regular priced or student/senior tickets (with ID for students).  Sweet deal, huh?

Fully Committed runs Fridays and Saturdays, March 25, 26, April 1 and 2.  Go to falcontheater.net for tickets or call  513-479-6783.

  • I am confused. What is it exactly that is being offered and what is it that I’m supposed to do? It says something about doing a “couple of things,” and then there’s a list of four things. Am I supposed to do two out of the four? All four? And there’s some kind of contest on Yelp? Is that one different from this? I give up.

  • Hmmm…when we dine out, we usually eat Thai or Asian fusion because of my husband’s insatiable appetite for Sushi. Lately we have been going to Soho Japanese Bistro and have loved all of the sushi we have had.

  • My absolute favorite resturant in the Cincinnati area is Mokka located just a couple blocks down from the Mammouth Theater. I love their Mexican night (Fridays when it’s not lent) and steak night (Saturdays). Their food is delicious and you get a lot for your money. The atmosphere is also very comfortable and relaxing.
