Happy Hanukkah!

my new menorahChag sameach to all of my readers who celebrate Hanukkah. Right now, I believe that the Chabad of Cincinnati is lighting the menorah on Fountain Square.  The traditional foods of Hanukkah are often fried, to symbolize the miracle of the oil in the Temple after the Maccabees rededicated it.  This includes sufganiyot (jelly donuts), latkes (potato pancakes), and a lot of dairy foods, like sweet kugel (a casserole, often made of noodles) or blintzes.    What will be on your plate for Hanukkah this year?
