Taste of NFL: June 19, 2009

Last year, I had the pleasure of an invite to Taste of NFL, a food event that occurs in every NFL city, every year, in conjunction with a local food bank.  The partner for the Bengals is FreestoreFoodBank, one of my very favorite local charities.

One ticket– just one– pays for 600 meals for those in need.  Six hundred.  And their need is even greater– this is one of their biggest fundraisers (most donations tend to be around the holidays) and their demand is high because of the economy.

It’s a really great time– this year’s event is cohosted by Andrew Whitworth and Andy Hajaar of Andy’s Mediterranean.  Aside from lots of food and hobnobbing with current and former Bengals, other activities include:

· A silent auction of sports themed items;

· A live auction of dinners and other experiences with players and coaches; and

· A raffle featuring a “20 Nights Out” gift pack of twenty $100 gift certificates to some of Cincinnati’s top restaurants.

Tickets are $150 per person, $200 if you’d like your name in the program, and $2000 for the Quarterback Program, which includes 10 tickets and names in the program.  It’s a great Father’s Day present (well, slightly in advance), and it benefits a great cause.

I’ll see you there– I’m stopping by early, and Terry will be attending in my stead as I’ll be on stage for another benefit (more to come about that later).  For more ticket information,  call (513) 482-7539 or visit the website. Tickets are selling out fast, so get them soon!
